Service Description

This group focuses on developing secure, balanced riders with independent control of their pony. Riders will continue to improve their position, steering, transitions, rhythm and confidence while introducing more accurate school figures and exercises. As riders become established in walk and trot, they will begin taking their first steps towards cantering, learning the correct aids, balance and confidence needed for a calm, controlled first canter. This is the ideal next step after lead rein and is for riders who can safely control their pony without assistance throughout the lesson. Progression to canter will always be at the coach’s discretion and when both rider and horse are ready.

Cancellation Policy

Any bookings must be cancelled 24 hours before any lesson to receive a refund. Rider Level Confirmation & Booking Agreement: By booking this lesson, you confirm that you have read and understood the advertised rider level and that you (or the rider you are booking for) meet the stated requirements. Our lessons are carefully grouped by ability to provide the best experience for riders, horses, and coaches. If, at any point during the session, the coach determines that a rider does not meet the required standard to safely or effectively participate, they reserve the right to end that rider’s lesson early or modify their participation. The coach’s decision is final and is made in the interests of safety, horse welfare, and to ensure the lesson can continue at the appropriate pace without disrupting the learning experience of the rest of the group. No refunds, credits or transfers will be offered if a rider is unable to participate because they do not meet the advertised lesson requirements. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they book into a lesson appropriate for their current ability. If you are unsure which level is right for you, please contact us before booking.
