From Rach and the Team

More than just a riding school

TopLine is more than just a riding school  We're a community dedicated to ethical horsemanship, confidence-building, and education. Our coaches focus on mindfulness, autonomy, and leadership in the saddle and on the ground.

We believe every rider deserves a personalised journey, and every horse deserves respect, clarity, and consistency. Through our structured Rider Progression Pathway, we guide riders from foundational knowledge to independence and beyond.

TopLine Code of Conduct

At TopLine, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for both horses and humans.

All riders, parents/guardians, and visitors are expected to follow the guidelines below:

Behaviour:

- Treat coaches, staff, and other riders with respect and kindness at all times.

- Follow instructions promptly and ask questions if unsure.

- Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Horse Welfare:

- Always treat horses with patience, care, and respect.

- Never shout at, strike, or deliberately frighten a horse.

- Report any concerns about horse health or behaviour to a member of staff immediately.

Yard Rules:

- No running, shouting, or smoking on the yard.

- Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted.

- Only handle horses with permission and supervision.

Punctuality & Attendance:

- Arrive 10/15 minutes before your lesson start time.

- Notify the school in advance if you are unable to attend.

Phones & Social Media:

- No mobile phones to be used during lessons.

- Always seek permission before taking photos or videos of horses or other clients.

Parents:
- We allow parents to watch sessions but ask that they do not attempt to coach their child during the sessions. Our coaches are trained to ensure the children have one key focus - this helps improve their confidence. Sometimes this might mean we let a minor issue slide - dont think we haven't noticed just know it's not important at that moment in time. Often when parents try to correct from the fenceline the children find it demoralizing and distracting.

Agreement:

- By participating in activities at TopLine, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct.

- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring young riders understand these expectations.
