Did you know that many of our team members were rescued by Horse Sense Wirral?Horse Sense Wirral relies entirely on public funding to care for the ever-increasing number of unwanted, abandoned, and neglected horses. Every penny really does count, no wages or expenses are taken so the horses get the full benefit of your donation. HSW average monthly running costs are currently £17,000 plus and obviously the more horses HSW need to help, the more their costs rise.
While the HSW horses are in the care of Carr Hey Stables/TopLine Equine their upkeep costs are covered by Carr Hey Stables. Any donations are to be made directly to HSW for their residents. The horses allow our programs to include real-life rehabilitation cases as well as discussions and examples of common welfare issues. Having these horses as such valuable members of our team shows how rehabilitation is achievable in so many cases and these horses can go on to educate the equestrian community in regard to behavior, management, and training. If the HSW horses are not suitable for our clients they are rehomed carefully through the HSW rehoming process having a little more education and ready for another shot at human ownership :)
