The Full Story

Phil | 16.2hh | Chestnut | Thoroughbred| Gelding
hil – Our Laid-Back Chestnut with a Big Heart Phil is a retired racehorse who’s happily swapped the fast lane for the quiet life – and he’s never looked back. This handsome chestnut is all about taking things steady, enjoying the moment, and reminding us that soft and simple is often the best way. He’s not one to be rushed or pushed around – Phil has opinions, and he’ll politely let you know if your aids are too strong. But give him a quiet, respectful ride, and he’ll respond with real softness and try. Over jumps, he’s really starting to shine – building confidence, rhythm, and a neat, careful technique. He’s taking everything in his stride, quite literally! Out hacking, Phil is a dream – chilled, steady, and happy to explore the village with his ears relaxed and his brain in the zone. He has a wonderful way of adapting to his rider, making both beginners and more experienced riders feel completely at ease. Phil is the kind of horse who teaches without fuss, builds trust without drama, and reminds us all to slow down and ride with feel.

Competition Academy
