Now in his early teens, he’s the perfect blend of steady and spirited – a true gentleman in the school, yet full of presence when the moment calls for it. Whether he’s quietly carrying a beginner through their first lessons or helping a more advanced rider fine-tune their aids, Oscar brings patience, precision, and a little sparkle to every session. He asks his riders to be thoughtful and clear – rewarding light, well-timed cues with his beautifully responsive way of going. And while he’s calm and composed in the arena, Oscar lights up on a hack or when he sees a jump – ears pricked, stride bold, eyes bright. He reminds us daily that being steady doesn’t mean being dull – and that great horses teach not just skills, but feel, timing, and confidence. We’re so lucky to have Oscar on the team.
